5 scans × 50 + 1 import × 100 = 350 credits, minus the 150-credit welcome bonus = 200 credits. $2.00 worth of credits. The smallest pack is $10, so one of those covers this several times over — and the welcome bonus only counts if you use it inside its 30 days.

8 scans × 50 + 2 imports × 100 = 600 credits, minus the 150-credit welcome bonus = 450 credits. $4.50 worth of credits for the AI — the $10 Job Search Pack (1,200 credits, bonus included) covers it. The Pro templates are a separate $15: credits do not buy them, and that pass does not come out of your balance. Over a search that runs for months, assume the welcome bonus has already lapsed.

Do I have to pay anything to use Resumap?
No. Building, editing, and downloading an ATS-friendly PDF is free, forever, on all 4 free templates. The free tier never asks for a credit card.
What costs credits then?
Optional AI features: ATS analyses, tailoring your resume to a specific job description, AI cover letters, follow-up emails, interview prep packs, and importing an existing resume from PDF. Each has a fixed credit cost listed above — no surprises, no auto-charges. Pro templates are separate: one $15 purchase opens all of them for 12 months, no credits involved.
Is this a subscription?
No. Credit packs are one-time purchases. There is no recurring charge, no trial that converts to monthly, no 'membership.' Buy credits when you need them; a pack stays usable for a year from purchase.
Why credits instead of a flat fee?
Because users have very different needs. Someone building one resume needs zero paid features. Someone running 30 ATS scans across a multi-month search needs more. A subscription forces both into the same bucket and overcharges the first group while undercharging the second. Credits charge each user for what they actually use.
Do credits expire?
Yes, both kinds, on different clocks. Credits you buy stay usable for a year from the day you buy them. The free welcome credits we hand out at signup last 30 days. Your account page shows the exact date for whatever is on your balance, and anything you have already downloaded stays yours either way.
Can I get a refund?
In two cases, within 30 days of the charge: you were charged in error (a duplicate charge, the wrong amount, or a payment that went through without credits arriving), or a paid feature failed and did not refund your credits automatically. Email [email protected] from your account address and we will sort it out. We do not refund unused credits or a change of mind — buy the smaller pack if you are not sure how much you need.
Will I be auto-charged when credits run out?
No. When you run out, paid features simply pause. The free builder keeps working as normal. You decide if and when to top up.
How is this different from Zety / Resume.io / Novoresume?
