Terms of service

Resumap is a web-based CV builder that lets you create, tailor, and export CVs. We provide templates, an editor, an optional ATS check, and PDF export. Some features are free; others require credits purchased via Stripe. The feature set, pricing, and availability may change at any time without notice.

You sign in with Google. You are solely responsible for all activity that occurs under your account. We are not responsible for any loss or damage arising from unauthorised access to your Google account. If you suspect a compromise, change your Google password immediately and notify us at [email protected].

You may delete your account at any time from /account. Deletion is permanent and subject to the data-retention rules in our Privacy Policy.

You retain all ownership rights to CVs, photos, and other content you create or upload. We do not claim ownership of your content, sell it, or use it to train machine learning models.

By using the service, you grant Resumap a limited, non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to store, process, format, and render your content solely to operate and provide the service. This licence terminates when you delete the content or your account.

You are solely responsible for the accuracy, truthfulness, and legality of your content. We do not verify employment history, credentials, or any other information you include in your CV.

You agree not to:

• Use the service for fraud, identity theft, impersonation, or any unlawful purpose
• Scrape, crawl, or mass-download content except via our public APIs in compliance with their documentation
• Reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract source code or proprietary algorithms from the service or its output
• Upload or transmit malware, viruses, or content that infringes any third party's intellectual property or other rights
• Attempt to bypass, circumvent, or exploit credit gates, payment flows, access controls, or admin surfaces
• Share account credentials to allow multiple individuals to use a single paid account

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate any account that violates this section, immediately and without notice, and without any obligation to refund credits or payments.

Credits. Certain features require credits. Credits are purchased via Stripe and credited to your account balance upon successful payment. Credits have no monetary value, are non-transferable, and do not expire.

Forfeiture on termination. Credits are tied to your account and have no value outside the service. If your account is deleted — whether by you or by us — any remaining credit balance is forfeited immediately and without compensation. We do not refund, transfer, or carry over unused credits upon account closure.

No refunds. All credit purchases are final and non-refundable. We will issue refunds only in the following circumstances:

• You were charged in error (duplicate charge, wrong amount, or payment processed but credits never received)
• A paid feature failed and an automatic refund was not issued — contact us and we will resolve it

Refund requests must be submitted within 30 days of the charge to [email protected]. We do not issue refunds for change of mind, unused credits, or dissatisfaction with service output.

Pricing. We may change credit prices, pack sizes, and feature costs at any time. Changes apply prospectively; previously purchased credits retain their purchasing power at the time of use.

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE,” WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND. TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, RESUMAP EXPRESSLY DISCLAIMS ALL WARRANTIES, WHETHER EXPRESS, IMPLIED, STATUTORY, OR OTHERWISE, INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION ANY IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

RESUMAP DOES NOT WARRANT THAT: (A) THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, TIMELY, SECURE, OR ERROR-FREE; (B) ANY ERRORS WILL BE CORRECTED; (C) THE SERVICE OR ITS OUTPUT IS FREE OF VIRUSES OR OTHER HARMFUL COMPONENTS; (D) THE ATS CHECK, FORMATTING SUGGESTIONS, OR ANY OTHER OUTPUT WILL ACHIEVE ANY PARTICULAR RESULT, INCLUDING PASSING ANY APPLICANT TRACKING SYSTEM OR SECURING EMPLOYMENT; OR (E) EXPORTED FILES WILL RENDER IDENTICALLY ACROSS ALL DEVICES, APPLICATIONS, OR PLATFORMS.

NO ORAL OR WRITTEN INFORMATION OR ADVICE GIVEN BY RESUMAP OR ITS REPRESENTATIVES CREATES ANY WARRANTY NOT EXPRESSLY SET FORTH IN THESE TERMS.

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, IN NO EVENT SHALL RESUMAP, ITS FOUNDERS, OFFICERS, EMPLOYEES, CONTRACTORS, AGENTS, OR AFFILIATES BE LIABLE TO YOU OR ANY THIRD PARTY FOR ANY DAMAGES OF ANY KIND, INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION DIRECT, INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR DAMAGES FOR LOSS OF PROFITS, REVENUE, DATA, GOODWILL, BUSINESS INTERRUPTION, OR ANY OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSS, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO:

(A) YOUR ACCESS TO OR USE OF, OR INABILITY TO ACCESS OR USE, THE SERVICE; (B) ANY CONDUCT OR CONTENT OF ANY THIRD PARTY ON OR IN CONNECTION WITH THE SERVICE; (C) ANY CONTENT OBTAINED FROM THE SERVICE; (D) ANY JOB APPLICATION, RECRUITMENT PROCESS, INTERVIEW OUTCOME, OR EMPLOYMENT DECISION MADE BY ANY PARTY IN RELIANCE ON A CV CREATED OR EXPORTED USING THE SERVICE; OR (E) ANY OTHER MATTER ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO THESE TERMS OR THE SERVICE — IN EACH CASE REGARDLESS OF THE LEGAL THEORY (CONTRACT, TORT, NEGLIGENCE, STRICT LIABILITY, STATUTE, OR OTHERWISE) AND EVEN IF RESUMAP HAS BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.

IF, NOTWITHSTANDING THE FOREGOING, RESUMAP IS FOUND LIABLE FOR ANY CLAIM, OUR TOTAL AGGREGATE LIABILITY FOR ALL SUCH CLAIMS SHALL NOT EXCEED THE LESSER OF: (A) THE TOTAL AMOUNTS YOU ACTUALLY PAID TO RESUMAP IN THE THREE (3) MONTHS IMMEDIATELY PRECEDING THE EVENT GIVING RISE TO THE CLAIM, OR (B) TEN UNITED STATES DOLLARS (USD $10).

Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion or limitation of certain warranties or damages. To the extent such laws apply, the above exclusions and limitations apply to the fullest extent permitted by law.

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Resumap and its founders, officers, employees, contractors, agents, and affiliates from and against any and all claims, demands, actions, losses, liabilities, damages, costs, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or relating to:

• Your access to or use of the service
• Any content you submit, upload, or transmit through the service
• Your violation of these Terms or any applicable law or regulation
• Any claim that your content infringes, misappropriates, or violates any third-party right
• Any false, misleading, or inaccurate information included in your CV

We reserve the right to assume exclusive control of the defence of any matter subject to indemnification, at your expense. You agree to cooperate fully with our defence of such claims.

We may add, modify, suspend, or discontinue any feature or the service as a whole at any time, with or without notice. We may impose usage limits, rate limits, or access restrictions at our discretion. We do not guarantee any specific level of uptime or availability and make no commitment to an SLA of any kind.

You may stop using the service and delete your account at any time from /account. Note that deleting your account results in the immediate and permanent forfeiture of any unused credit balance. This action cannot be undone.

We may suspend or terminate your access at any time, with or without cause or notice, including for violation of these Terms, suspected fraud or abuse, or business reasons. Upon termination for any reason, your right to use the service ceases immediately and any remaining credit balance is forfeited without compensation.

The following sections survive termination: 3 (licence termination mechanics), 6, 7, 8, 12, and 13.

We may update these Terms at any time. The “Last updated” date at the top of this page will reflect the most recent revision. Material changes may be communicated via in-app notice or email, at our discretion. Your continued use of the service after any change constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction in which Resumap operates, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.

All disputes must be brought on an individual basis. You waive any right to bring or participate in any class action, collective action, or representative proceeding.

Before initiating any formal proceeding, you agree to first contact us at [email protected] with a written description of the dispute and give us 30 days to resolve it informally. If the dispute is not resolved within that period, it may be brought in the competent courts of the applicable jurisdiction.

Nothing in this section limits either party's right to seek injunctive or other equitable relief for intellectual property infringement or breach of confidentiality obligations.

Entire agreement. These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Resumap regarding the service and supersede all prior agreements.

Severability. If any provision is held invalid or unenforceable, that provision will be modified to the minimum extent necessary to make it enforceable, and the remaining provisions will continue in full force.

No waiver. Failure to enforce any provision does not constitute a waiver of our right to enforce it in the future.

No agency. These Terms do not create any partnership, joint venture, employment, or agency relationship between you and Resumap.

Assignment. You may not assign or transfer these Terms or any rights hereunder. We may assign our rights and obligations without restriction.
